I love this place because of the atmosphere, tastes of coffee, and especially friendly calm staff. Location is a little bit far from the station, but it also makes the place special I think. The place makes me feel like in a fantasy novel.

Hidden gem in a kind of nowhere part of Tokyo — neither shibuya nor omotesando not roppongi nor ebisu nor hiro. Right between it all, sort of, maybe if you squintm behind Nezu Museum. Hosts some of the best literary events in the city (mainly in Japanese). Great little cafe for, as the name suggests, rainy days, as it's underground and without windows. Come, bring your favorite book and enjoy their coffee.

Highly recommend for a relaxing Cafe moment. The food menu is limited but it's all very well made and delicious. I actually got too full and couldn't even finish my veggies. Staff was able to speak some English with me too which was nice. Menu had English names but descriptions in simple Japanese. The music was low and soft and the atmosphere really comforting. Definitely recommend taking the time to come here for some coffee or tea and just reading or taking a break from errands. I stayed for about an hour.

I could have sat there for an entire day! There isn't a better place for peace lovers. You have to walk a little to get here from any metro station. But at the end, it's worth it. Even on a Sunday, it was not crowded. The lady attending to customers was amazingly attentive. They have food options too. I had Fuglen coffee and Banana pound cake. Ambiance is quite simple and serene. Will try and visit again soon!

From Pamela Asai - Australian artist and poet - One word - Devine! Small, quiet, refined, worth searching for. One of the highlights of our last trip to Tokyo. Now a must for every visit. Highly recommended as a port in the storm. I literally cried with delight. What a gem!

It's a nice place to sit and relax with a book--a healing spot to destress from life. It's some what away from the busy city... So It can be a little hard to find. This coffee shop seems like a good place to get some work done--quiet, cozy and mellow. It has a warm atmosphere. The coffee is good. The cafe mocha (mocha latte) was smooth with a nice balance between the espresso and chocolate. The today/regular sweet was an apricot pound cake. The cake was light in taste and not overly sweet. Staff was kind and friendly.

Finally! Somehow I’ve always wanted to be here and today it came true. Ordered iced coffee with milk. (500yen) Dripped by nell, bitter and deep coffee flavor, perfect for the summer! Serving milk it goes well too, more of like cafe au lait. Few people were around after 1:30pm, everyone was talking but the sound was not annoying at all. Since this place is publisher’s cafe, they sell their magazines as well. It’s fun to spend time surrounded by the books. The staff is friendly, I’d highly recommend their handmade baked stuff too! The size is pretty big compared with the average but tastes wonderful!
